Bragging just a bit

Brian is the best boyfriend in the whole world.  He takes such good care of me and thinks about me before himself.  I was a little worried when we first started dating because we are both attention hogs and I was afraid that we would always be competing for attention.  But it has worked out very nicely.  We share the spotlight and like being in it together.  We work so well together.  I like to think that we bring out the best in each other... which is what best friends should do for each other.  He knows me better than anyone and we think so much alike which I am totally grateful for.  I think we are perfect for each other... but I also may be a little biased.
This picture was taken during one of the best dates I have ever been on.  Granted, much of the thanks goes to my parents for inviting us along... but none-the-less this last Valentine's Day was AMAZING!  We went to Park City and ate at Ruth's Christ Restaurant.   It was absolutely delightful and the best food I've ever eaten.  And we have to give credit to Brian for not freaking out about my hair.  I dyed it earlier that day and when it first came out it was quite purple.  Thankfully we've been able to tone it down a bit, but even on that first day he made me feel like the most beautiful woman in the world.

If you remember, February 14th was actually a Sunday and so this dinner took place on Saturday.  But my very creative boyfriend thought of a wonderful idea for the actual celebration for Valentine's Day... Brian took me to watch the Mormon Tabernacle Choir sing on Valentine's Day.  We had only been dating like 2 weeks at this point, but I absolutely fell in love on this date.  He has a beautiful voice and a love of music, which if any of you know me or my family at all understand why this would be so important to me. It was really cool to be in an atmosphere which allowed us to open up our spiritual sides and talk about our feelings about our faith.  He was such a great missionary, but is also one of those guys that looks for daily experiences to build himself and his testimony.  He doesn't rely soley on something that happened 2 years ago to govern his life now.

So the love fest continued the next day as we gathered at my house for annual sugar cookie decorating.  Poor Brian got introduced to my family really quickly... that's what happens when your girlfriend still lives at home.  But my family is amazing so of course he just loved being with them.  We decided that since we are "Beth & Brian," we should start a Bed & Breakfast.... that's just in case the broadcast thing doesn't work out.

Brian's best friend and roommate got married in March.  Sara, the wife, is from Nebraska so naturally that's where they held the wedding.  I wasn't planning on going out at first, but after a serious of events I got to go with Brian and 2 of his friends.  We ended up taking my car which was a lot of fun.  I spent basically 3 whole days with Brian and not once did I get sick of him and more importantly he still wanted to be around me.
Sara and Spencer looked radiant on their day and it really got Brian and I thinking about our futures.  I'm not announcing anything yet... but I could definitely see myself with this amazing man for the rest of my life... if he can stand to put up with me for that long. :)

For now, I'll just take the fact that he loves me. And I love him.

So I love this blog and I'm totally going to blog stalk you both. Ps I also love how as broadcast majors we all have a "dream backup plan" just in case we never get jobs :) It's like we can all just buy a culdesac and open up shop.
